It may happen, but the probability is relatively low. Blockage is generally caused by factors such as insulin purity, injection site selection, duration of use, operation technique, and infusion volume. Alternatively, you can refer to the following factors and suggestions.

1.Check the insulin brand. Special brands may contain impurities, or the insulin may be expired and crystallized. Other causes include mixing insulin from different brands, poor absorption at the wear site, or failure to rewarm the insulin before use.

2.Injection site: Choose areas with thick subcutaneous fat, but be careful to avoid scars and hard lumps.

3.Duration of use: A large dose, long injection time at the same site, or poor absorption can easily lead to local insulin accumulation. If the same site is used for infusion for too long, it may cause adipocyte lysis, which turns into a fluid fat-like liquid. This increases the force required for needle insertion, thereby causing blockage. Therefore, it is recommended to frequently rotate the wear sites.
 
4.Operation: ① When priming, first press the white needle insertion button, then click the priming button on the APP. ② When pressing the white needle insertion button each time, press the thicker end and keep the needle inserted vertically. If the force is focused on the thinner end, the thin needle tube may tilt during insertion, leading to tube folding or insertion into the inner wall, which can cause blockage.

5.Infusion volume: If the dose is relatively large (e.g., more than 10 units at a time), it is recommended to split it into two injections instead of administering 10 units in one go. Frequent pauses in infusion or too little daily dosage: If infusion is paused for a long time, the needle remains in contact with fluid for an extended period. Or if the dosage is too small, the flow rate is too slow. In both cases, the insulin remaining at the needle tip mixes with tissue fluid and oxidizes, which can also form insulin crystals.

6. The tape is not attached firmly, resulting in incomplete needle insertion and failure to implant into the subcutaneous fat.
